Prestige Series is virtually colorless and undetectable when installed, yet perform like metalized films. Offered in four different light transmissions(Prestige 70,60,50,40), the two darkest films have less interior reflectivity than clear glass. How did 3M do this? Simple, by using nano-technology.

Nano-technology works with materials that are over a thousand times smaller than the width of a hair. This expertise allows 3M to create a patented window film with hundreds of layers that is less than the thickness of a Post-it® Note. It has allowed 3M to create a film that delivers the highest performance possible without using metal, which can corrode and interfere with digital and satellite signals.

The 3M™ Window Film - Prestige Series is not only designed to be unnoticeable to the casual observer, but is also designed to offer superior heat rejecting capabilities - most notably, the sun's infrared heat.

The heat that you feel on a hot day is the sun's infrared heat and the hottest part of the day is when the sun is at a 60º angle to your windows. 3M designed Prestige Series to reject the most heat when the sun is at that 60º angle. By blocking 97% of infrared heat, Prestige Series offers superior performance that will increase your personal comfort. And like all other 3M Window Films, Prestige Series blocks 99.9% of the sun's ultraviolet light (UV).

Other film manufacturers advertise colorless films that perform similarly to those offered by 3M. But only 3M produces a metal-free film using true nano-technology. With other films, the perimeter edges must be sealed with silicone to prevent outside air from corroding the film's metals, especially in coastal areas. Since there are no metals in the Prestige series, you will never have to worry about corrosion or interference with digital or satellite signals.
